Karim is very kind.Good location with beautiful view of sunrise on Nile.also the dinner is delicious.

Lovely homestay very close to the river bank Wonderful owners (!!!) who were extremely helpful and kind. The apartment is in an Egyptian style and it has everything that you might need even during a longer stay. Many nice places to eat around, close to the ferry, close to the Valley of the Kings and other monuments of the West Bank. The area near the apartment seems to be hassle-free ;) We would definitely come back again ❤️

- for us it was not a problem but be aware there's a mosque nearby, - as we're vegetable-eaters we would have appreciated some veggies for breakfast (we got fresh, hot falafels and bread every morning! And had some yoghurt, butter, cheese and jam in the fridge :) which most probably is enough for most of the people 😅)

Mohammed and his family were some of the most gracious and accomodating hosts that we encountered in all of our Accomodations throughout Egypt. They were so welcoming and genuinely interested in us. Mohammed even helped us find a last-minute transfer to our next accommodation in Aswan. They made us feel like family and took care of us like we were part of theirs. The Egyptian style breakfast that they served was very tasty and keeps you energized for a whole day of sightseeing. If you are lucky enough to get invited to dinner, you are also in for a treat! The apartment was newly renovated, spacious, and spotless. It even had a washer! The west bank is also much quieter than the east bank, which made it much easier to fall asleep and stay asleep.

There was some confusion regarding the location of the accommodation. There are 2 property locations. Note that google ONLY lists the Nile view villa, and you need to map to the "French Home" (which is a few minute drive northwest from the Nile view villa) to properly arrive at the Mountain view villa. So just keep this in mind if you are going to use google to try to map to your accommodation. The wifi was slow (less than 3mbps download and 1.5mbps upload), BUT this applies to every single accommodation we stayed at throughout Egypt. I don't count this as a negative for this property in particular, but more of a heads up for anyone going to Egypt for the first time.

Great hospitality, Great Location and Nice dinner on roof top terrace. Staying Rate Gîte Hôtel Gezira Louxor was one of our best choices to make our trip in Egypt great and memorable in good way. Looking at east bank of Nile river from the roof top is very beautiful and scenic. We stayed this hotel after 4 days stay in Cairo and Giza area. Mohamed and his team have great hospitality and they are really our "OASIS" after such 4days stays in such a busy Cairo and Giza. You can go to east bank from this hotel in 5 minuets by boat and it is highly recommendable to stay this hotel especially if you want to have nice and relaxing stay in Luxor. The chef of Mohamed team is also fantastic. His lentil soup is our No. 1 in the world.

Extra warm welcoming on Luxor's Westbank, a much calmer area of Luxor with great access to the Valley of the Kings, The Valley of the Queens. Great, fresh and testy home made food on the terrasse. Mohamed is a great host you have all you need and a very peaceful place after the visits.

In a narrow street off the main one, which runs parallel to the Nile, this spacious property offered me a suite you wouldn’t believe you can book for such a reasonable price. The space is vast, and the decor in both the sitting room and the bedroom is so beautiful. There are fans, air-con, a heater. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is clean. There is a good number of sockets (just bring your adapters with you). It runs as a B&B, but half-board can be arranged. The breakfast is warm bread and falafel, and you bring your tea and coffee from the apartment with you. The breakfast/dinner area is on the terrace, with a beautiful view of the Nile. And I had two dinners there, free of charge, of Egyptian cuisine, which were really delicious. And the manager, Mohamed, has been so helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for him: he is happy to come anytime to help, would answer your questions, can arrange a transfer from the airport, and advise on sightseeing. He says he is French speaking, but I found no problems communicating with him as well. I would recommend this place without reservations, and `i would stay there again.

I cannot say I did not like anything… the kitchen and bathroom are a bit dated, but everything works just fine. Be prepared for a muezzin’s prayer at 5 a.m.

The staff was exceptional! I can't say enough good things about our stay. I will be back!

The location was nice, our room was clean and very big with a nice bed. Karim and his father were very friendly with us and they were very helpful with the sights. We hope to visit them again soon.

Stayed three nights as a solo traveller. The kindness, helpfulness and the service provided in general were exceeded every expectation. The breakfast was included in the price, but for a little extra, and i mean a little, a great 2 course dinner was served every night on the terrace. Mohamad is a great host, can't recommend enough, looking for all your wishes. The bedroom and bathroom are big, the kitchen well equipped, everything clean, and a wiev from the terrace is great, while having a meal you can enjoy the sight of the Nile and Luxor Temple. Everything you need is in walking distance.
