Maybe just the placement on hill is not convenient with luggage if one walks in.

It was an amzing experience staying at Hotel Matte Rooms.The view from the hotel was just amazing, we enjoyed everyday the sunrise and the sunset up from the hills. The room was clean, everything what you need. Andrea!What do i have to say?! Such a nice and helpful person. His dog Lucce, really cute. Even when we had to drive early to the tours he served our breakfast before at 08:00 o‘clock. Thank you Andrea for making our stay in Sardinien such an amazing experience!

Very comfy bed. Beautifully clean accommodation. Good quality bathroom . Good breakfast

Wide angle lens photography gives the impression the rooms are larger than they actually are. There is a lack of storage space for small items of clothing. Very difficult to find entrance to property - particularly at night. Some means needs to be found to make the entrance point more prominent for approaching drivers. There is nothing to indicate you have reached Solo Matto rooms. Soundproofing in the rooms needs to be improved as conversations can be heard in adjoining bedrooms.

Spacious rooms, super clean and comfortable. Andrea was an exceptional host the entire stay. Good breakfast!

Room is comfortable and modern.

Did not expect this to be an extension of a house. We could hear the conversations happening on the other side of the room which happened to be the living room of the house. There was a glass door covered with a courtain. Aside from this, room was comfortable and alright. Since we were at the beach all day we came back to sleep only so it wasnt such a big deal, but if you’re looking for more privacy and a quiet environment this might not be it. This is also not so closw to olbia, about 20-30 mins.

Thank you Andrea for a lovely stay in Olbia. Myself and my wife spent 5 nights in Olbia, our room was lovely, clean sheets and towels, good wifi and air conditioning. The house is only a few minutes away from city centre, closest beach is at 3 minutes drive, plenty of restaurants around as well. Andrea offered a lovely breakfast and he was also very kind to give us tips for the best tourist attractions around. Highly recommend! Thank you for everything :)

Our stay at this resort was one of the most pleasant surprises of the whole vacation in Sardegna this year. Andrea and his family are probably the most welcoming and kind people we've met during this holiday and, thinking back when we read the previous reviews of his place, all I can say is that they are not exagerated. They are truly nice, kind and very, very helpful people! If you want to have a great place to stay, with a breathtaking view, a unique garden and hosts that will pay attention to every need you have (they even offered to help us with transportation when we were in dire need of a cab to the airport or to other places around the city of Olbia), then look no further - Sole Matto Rooms is the perfect choice. I can't think of a single moment during our vacation that we thought of "Oh, I wish they had this or that". Even when we asked for help with setting up our dinner or getting some glasses of wine, no matter the hour, Andrea and his folks helped us every single time, with a big smile on their faces. Seriously, I think these were the nicest people we've encountered throughout this entire island. And, in our last night there, they all came to say goodbye, knowing that we were about to depart early next morning. The whole experience that we've had was like visiting long lost relatives and being cared for like proper family members. So if you still have doubts about booking this place - trust me, you will not regret it (the size of the room and the fact that you have access to a huge outdoor garden is probably reason enough). We still recommend that you rent a car though (even though there is a bus station right at the guesthouse entrance, the public transportation on the island is attrocious. Don’t worry, we managed to move around only by bus or boat, but it’s a very limited way of exploring what this island has to offer).

Good location, out of the crowded city of Olbia, spacious and nice room with beautiful details. Our host Andrea was very friendly, helpful and communicative. We recommend this place 😊
