Breakfast was all fresh and tasty you would be full for the day

Our host Rachel was friendly an helpful and both mornings produced the most amazing breakfast. The property was in a good central location to get into the village of Cong and there was plenty of parking.

Our bedroom didn't have a TV which didn't bother us but some guests may expect one.

Very friendly ,lovely garden ,beautiful home location is great less than 5 mins walk to the town . Would highly recommend it if looking for a quiet relaxing break . We will be back soon .

Fantastic breakfast, and wonderful hostess. Incredible array of breakfast, different from a typical B&B but awesome.

Beds are narrow, particularly the singles - if you're broad shouldered you might find it tight.

Rachel the owner was so friendly and helpful from the min we arrived until the min we left, nothing was too much trouble. From ironing my shirts to dropping us off at Ashford Castle to enjoy our evening and when needed, taking us to pick up our car the next morning. The lodge was truly stunning and really homely. Beautiful decor and surroundings, so very comfortable and within easy walking distance of Cong (5 min max)

A little cold in the evening in the big beautiful bedroom but Rachel provided us with a portable heater and more duvets immediately and we were nice and cosy once more!

Beautifully and lovingly restored property by owner Rachel. It’s just a 5 minute stroll from Cong village. The river flows directly past the lodge with its private garden and parking, creating a picture perfect setting. Inside is tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, and has everything you’ll need to make your stay perfect. Our twin room with private bathroom was spacious and very comfortable. I can’t imagine you’ll find a better breakfast spread in any B&B in Ireland! The choices provided by Rachel were simply superb, with some differences on both days of our stay… a lovely touch. We have no hesitation in recommending Salmon Weir Lodge for your stay whilst visiting Cong and the surrounding area.

Couldn’t find fault with anything.

Myself and my cousin stayed for 2 nights. The property is conveniently located 2 minutes walk from the village of Cong. On arrival we found Rachael to be very friendly and welcoming. Our twin room was beautifully decorated. It was warm, comfortable and immaculately clean. Rachael very kindly provided some chocolate in our room and shampoo and shower gel products in the en suite bathroom, which was also spotlessly clean. A very extensive continental breakfast is served in the dining room every morning, which was very delicious, especially Rachael’s very own original recipe full Irish breakfast bake. We cannot recommend this B+B highly enough. We will definitely stay here again. A special thank you to Rachael for everything and for being such an attentive and fantastic host. Joe and Kerry.

Beautiful lodge with comfortable, clean room. Plenty of space for four of us. Nice sitting area with fireplace downstairs. Good parking on property. Excellent breakfast with plenty of food, and a very friendly and helpful host! Well located for exploring Cong, doing activities at Ashford Castle, or taking day trips into Connemara. Would stay here again!
