"Close to amenities, comfortable and welcoming."

8.0

Close to the sea and lots of restaurants and bars. Clean and comfortable. Very friendly host.

A lift would make accessing the rooms with suitcases more manageable but would not put me off staying again as only a minor inconvenience. Was under the impression the accommodation offered breakfast but it didn’t.

Location

We stayed in a room within a small complex of ensuite bedrooms located in the centre of Salthill, booked for Saturday and Sunday nights. The location is close to casinos, slot arcades, pubs, fast food outlets, and restaurants, and within a short walking distance of Leisureland. The room was reasonably furnished, with tea and coffee-making facilities, a wardrobe, and storage space. The bathroom was spacious. However, there were several issues during our stay. Due to a connection problem, the TV was not working and Kevin, the owner, was unable to resolve this. The toilet seat was poorly fitted and unstable, requiring it to be held in place when in use. As a result, we decided to leave earlier than planned. The following morning, the hairdryer also failed to work, although it was replaced by the cleaner. We were refunded €95 from a total bill of €255. This left a cost of €160 for one night, which was excessive. The issues outlined above made this even more so. We subsequently booked a nearby 4-star hotel for €140, including breakfast. Overall, this was an unsatisfactory experience

"Wonderful stay in Salthill - great value and lovely host"

10.0

I had a really lovely stay at Feeney’s. The room was spacious, spotless, bright and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the roof windows which brought in beautiful natural light. It had everything I needed for a relaxing night - kettle, coffee maker, TV, and a very comfortable bed. The location is excellent - less than five minutes’ walk to the Salthill promenade, which was perfect for a seaside stroll. The host was warm and welcoming, and communication was smooth from the moment I booked. For the price, it was excellent value for money, especially compared to other places I stayed in Galway. I would happily stay here again.

Nothing to note - it suited my needs perfectly.
