Vijaya Varma Beach Resort

The location was excellent away from the=noise and hustle and bustle of Kovalam beach yet easy to walk to Kovalam beach. My room had a great view of the ocean and the lighthouse beach below. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The lack of privacy while sitting on the balcony. The outside walls separating the rooms did not reach to the ceilings and there were gaps at the end of the walls. You could hear all conversations of people in adjoining rooms while sitting on your balcony. Not a pleasant experience especially if those people where’s peaking loud and or smoking cigarettes. Also the breakfast was very basic. The shower was also difficult to work to get hot water.saA

The path to the private beach was a bit dangerous and quite a bit of litter on the way down.

Clean, comfortable room with a balcony and gorgeous sea views. Clean bathroom with plenty of hot water 24 hours. Welcoming reception area. Free, good wifi. Excellent location, just a 5-minute walk to the promenade and beach, and 2-3 minutes walk to the lighthouse. Or a 5-minute walk down to a quiet, secluded beach - that few people seem to find. Wonderful sea view from my balcony, furnished with a comfy chair and a small table. There isn't a restaurant on site, but Daniel arranged a great value breakfast and dinner for me. And tea/coffee was available. The staff were available 24 hours, and they couldn't be more helpful. Excellent value.

Didn’t tell me until 2 days before I checked out that I could order a breakfast for reasonable cost which was great . Otherwise all good 😊
