Wat een prachtig paradijs 😍 We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen door Robin & Louella. Eerst werden we naar onze kamer de Old deer hut gebracht. De Old deer hut staat in de tuin. Vanaf je terras, maar ook vanuit je bed heb je prachtig vrij uitzicht. Het hutje is van alle gemakken voorzien. Ze hebben eventueel ook kamers, als je net wat meer luxe wil, maar wij waren dik tevreden met ons hutje. Nadat we ons geïnstalleerd hadden werden we uitgenodigd voor een kop thee met een heerlijke chocolade cake op het terras van Robin en Louella , waar je tevens ook gebruik van mag maken. We hebben gezellig gekletst en zelfs een wijntje gedronken. Het ontbijt is ook prima! Yoghurt met vers fruit en muesli. Toast met jam en ook warme eiergerechten worden op verzoek gemaakt. s avonds wilde we een hapje eten. Louella heeft voor ons een fijn restaurant gereserveerd waar we heerlijk hebben gegeten. We voelden ons zeer welkom en op ons gemak. Ik zou zeker niet twijfelen om te boeken en wij zullen the Old deer house ook iedereen aanbevelen als ze naar Cornwall gaan.

Helaas viel het weer een beetje tegen, maar daar kan niemand wat aan doen. Ondanks het slechte weer was the Old Deer house voor ons de meest bijzondere overnachting die ons is bij gebleven, van ons road trip door Zuid-Engeland.

Dopo essere passati da stradine strettissime nel bosco,eccoci arrivare in un posto da fiaba, una casa immersa nella natura, padrona del cielo e della campagna intorno ,condivisa solo da uccellini, pecore e cavalli. Poi l' accoglienza dei padroni di casa, così affettuosa e vera che sembrava di essere venuti a trovare degli amici. Gli interni della casa così ben arredati e luminosi, la camera che ci ha ospitato estremamente confortevole e il bagno che ci ha dato l' occasione di provare per la prima volta all' estero la comodità di un wc con bidet multifunzione annesso Colazione con vista sul giardino di qualità superiore. Tutto perfetto, un bed and breakfast con il vero spirito dell' accoglienza che nella mia vita ,girando per il mondo, ho trovato poche volte. Grazie a Louella e Robin per la fantastica esperienza che ha reso indimenticabile il viaggio .

wonderful hospitality , fabulous breakfasts. Totally unique place to stay very detailed instructions to the property as it is remote, and great to have detailed instructions to local pubs etc. The views across the moors and from the property are just fabulous. Great stop off if exploring Cornwall.

we stayed in the garden room , the bathroom is separate ie at the back of the room. I would definitely stay again but in the main house, we had this option as we were travelling with a dog.

We stayed for 3 nights at this remarkable place. Louella and Robin are truly great hosts who made us feel at home in their oasis of beauty and comfort. Our room was large, beautifully decorated and super cozy. Breakfast was excellent and included good company, interesting stories and many laughs as well as fresh, tasty food. There are numerous options for day trips from the B&B to get the real Cornish experience. Highly recommended!

Everything was great

Myself and my husband stayed at the old deer house for two nights, Louella and Robin were amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The icing on the cake for us had to be the hot water bottles in our bed every evening before we got back. Can not praise this little gem enough. We will certainly be back x

Absolutely nothing

Lovely house in a quiet corner of serene beautiful countryside, lovely hosts who couldn't do enough for us. Fantastic house, open plan with everything you need for a base to explore, or a warm cosy hideaway to escape the day to day of whatever life you have. Honestly one of the best B&Bs I've stayed in, really it's a super friendly guesthouse, Louella didn't stop offering us tea, drinks, assistance and really anything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The dogs were lovely too, especially Molly, a real people pleaser. Would go out for my way to stay again if I'm ever even close to the area.

I'd have liked to stay longer.

Amazing hosts, wonderful hospitality, and a beautiful home. Luella and Robin really went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect at all times. They are fascinating, inspirational people with endless stories....we could have listened to them for hours. The Old Deer House is stunningly located, and the views are spectacular.

We had a fantastic stay at the Old Deer House. The hosts Robin and Louella were amazing, always checking if we needed anything. You could spend days speaking with them, enjoying the views and their dogs are delightful! My husband was especially happy hearing stories Robin had to share. They really are a remarkable people which you will find when you also stay with them ! 10/10!
