We loved our stay at The Old Barn! Our hosts were very kind and made us a wonderful breakfast every morning. The property was quiet and in a great location for hiking. Keep an eye out for Eric the cat - he's adorable!

Breakfast was absolutely delicious. All fresh produce. The hosts are husband and wife and are so warm and welcoming. Exactly what we wanted, to be in the countryside with beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful location close enough to Buxton to explore - but in a quiet hamlet. Very warm and welcoming home and our room was comfortable and clean. Lovely tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us. Our hosts Pete and Lynn were so welcoming and made us a delicious breakfast - including homemade sausages which were so good!

The Old Barn is a traditional building in a lovely quiet environment and we had a very comfortable bed/room with excellent ensuite facilities. Lynn and Peter were very friendly and helpful and they served a wonderful breakfast of locally produced food. And we had fresh milk for drinks in the room, so much better than the long life white water you get in most B&B's. We used The Old Barn to travel into Buxton to The Opera House, which was a short trip in the car via the A615. This is our second trip and will definately be coming again.

"Stunning property and incredible hosts"

Absolutely stunning property and the hosts, Pete and Lynn, were incredible. The breakfast is superb. My partner and I have travelled quite a bit over the years, and this was hands down the best breakfast yet. And to top it off, the breakfast area is on the upper floor of the converted barn, which is both grand and cosy. One of the most unique and comfortable places we have ever stayed at.

Lovely hosts, accommodation, and breakfast. Learning the history of King Sterndale from the visitor info.

Navigating back to the Old Barn once you left the A515 on a misty night, but we made it without mishap.
