Struan House

The location was superb situated right in the centre of Buckie with easy access to shops and facilities. The hosts were superb. All guests loved being there and all left with a smile on their faces. Breakfast was superb and the dining room was beautiful. It was extremely interesting to meet so many different people from other European countries on a daily basis. Meeting the hosts dog ‘ Balfour’ was an added bonus as I love dogs. Several fellow guests I spoke to had visited previously. I would definitely return. Forgot to mention the complimentary shower gel, shampoo and bath robe.

My only recommendation would be to have the heating on for a shorter period of time. Although outside temperatures averaged 18 degrees it was August. I kept my windows open nearly all the time.

Lovely hosts, very friendly. Great range of options for breakfast. The area outside the property was beautifully kept and abundant with flowers. Was lovely to have sea view from both the side and rear windows in my twin room.

I’m a light sleeper and the noise from the bathroom fan in the adjacent bedroom woke me in the middle of the night when the occupants switched the bathroom light on. It didn’t last long and switched itself off after about 5 minutes so not really a big issue.

The dining room was beautifully furnished with a large dining table for eight people. On top of a large sideboard was a large selection of cereals, yoghurts, strawberries in a large bowl, prunes in a large bowl, grapefruit segments in a large bowl and a large bowl of mixed fruit and berries in juice as well as fruit juices in large jugs. All of this could be followed by a selection of cooked breakfast. The property is easy to find, being located on the town's main intersection and has good parking space.

It's in an ideal location for exploring Buckie and the surrounding areas . The breakfast is amazing and the rooms are clean and comfortable with great views. The hosts are excellent .

I would have liked a full length mirror in the room .
