My room had two walls made from glass, little bit like aqarium, and as the room was on the 3rd floor, the view was really beautiful :🙂 Very quiet location even so close to the main street. The owner Made got me traditional Balinese coffee at the market, because I did like it a lot at the breakfast 😉

Breakfast at 9 am is quite late for me as I wake up early. Missing clothes hangers….

The rooftop was perfect for viewing the new year firework.

The room was unbearably hot even with AC running 24/7 on full power. I was really annoyed that I could not get drinking water in the hotel. On the second day I got food poisining and couldn't get any water there. The next shops are quite a bit away too, so you have to carry all water you need to the hotel. The room was not clean and I killed a couple cockroaches.

The location is great, you're right below the main road so you're in the centre and in walking distance of most places, yet you're in a quiet street away from the chaos. The host is wonderful and very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast included is in her warung and you have a handful of options to choose from. There is also a spa right inside the property, not sure it belongs to the owners at all, but it's quite affordable and the massage I got there was probably the best I've had in Bali. The room is spacious and the air conditioning works well. The bathroom is relatively nice compared to classic bathrooms in the homestays in Bali. Also, the room was cleaned daily, so I never had too much of a problem with ants accumulating, which is a recurrent problem in Bali in my experience! It was overall a great stay and I'm sad I couldn't say goodbye when I left!

I think my main issue was that the room was in this kind of shared balcony where people would pass by and that looks out at the entrance of the property, and the only way to have complete privacy in the room was to use the curtains, but they'd be blocking the natural light from outside. I'd probably add an extra thin curtain that lets light in while still blocking the view from outside. Whereas this is a pretty clean homestay for the general standard in Bali, I'd probably add some extra care for corners in the bathroom and stains on sheets. But the host is really helpful so I'm sure she'd just help fix any issues you may have if you let her know.
