Gordon's Guesthouse

Lovely, quiet and peaceful country area. Great food and Caroline and her staff were excellent. This was my second stay here.

Kamers op de eerste verdieping met elk een eigen badkamer. De eigenaresse was erg vriendelijk en het ontbijt sochtends beneden in het cafe. Smaakte goed. Hier kunnen ook lokale mensen eten wat het erg gezellig maakt. Bedden prima, evenals douche. Gedeelde woonkamer beneden en op de 1e een pantry voor koffie/ thee met andere kamers.

In het dorpje zelf is weinig te doen. Ligt aan de doorliggende weg, langsrijdend verkeer is daardoor wel goed te horen.

What we liked the most about Gordon's is the host's hospitality and kindness. We felt very welcomed and we were looked after so well. Caroline is an amazing host, who would not hesitate to go over and beyond to fulfilll our wishes. Breakfast was a great experience as well with such a variety, from full irish breakfast to sweet pancakes with maple syrup. Not to mention the coffee, one of the best coffee I have ever had, which was also organic and fairtrade! Caroline, from the bottom of our heart Jean-Marc and I, we truly want to say thank you for being so friendly and kind, for making us feel so at home and for all your generosity. We have enjoyed every minute of our stay in your place and we will definitely come again next time we travel to Ireland! All the best!

Absolutely nothing, we loved everything!

Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable.

The location was less than desirable. We arrived on a Wednesday evening around 7, there was nothing open. Nothing. We'd missed the check in time and were scolded a bit for that. (I completely missed the mention of the 2 hour check in window in the ad). Though we managed the directions for the self checkin just fine, upon her arrival back at the b&b, the host made my son move the car because she said it parked too close to a flower box and the "children on bikes" might hit his car. Hahaha. What children? Where? The town is desolate. Was scolded for using a restroom that had been readied for someone else. However, there was no signage, so how was i supposed to know? Mold in the window seals and bathroom. Finally, the pictures on Airbnb are misleading. There is no castle. There are NO views of anything but run down car shops.

Very quirky little B&B. Wonderful host. Great breakfast.

Breakfast was great, and I slept well. Staff where lovely.

The shower was a little fiddlely. But we were informed beforehand. In the big scheme of things, just a tiny issue.
