Il Gioiellino

We have been visiting Turin for the past 4 yrs. and stayed here everytime. The hosts are wonderful , they have taken lot of care to keep the place just as you see in the picture. Their break fast spread is very italian something that we look forward to having .. We would highly recommend the place, very close to metro, and city center.. you won't miss not having a car...

The best and most beautiful bed and breakfast to be found in Torino. I had a very spacious room, a very comfortable bed and a good pillow, too. I loved the walk-in shower and the cleanliness of the bathroom and the whole room. Federica, the hostess, is such a friendly, helping and enthusiastic woman, that I almost felt like this was my second home. Every day there is a different special treat for breakfast and you can use the kitchen during the day. The rooms are in a very beautiful old building which has a lot of the original features. You can feel history there. The location is close to both stations south of the centre, and even though the B&B is maybe not as close to the centre itself, there are tram-, metro- and bus stops nearby. And let's not forget the great Corner Cafe on the ground floor.

Can't say enough good things about this B&B. They have done an excellent job of restoring these rooms with great attention to the furnishings and bathroom. It's a 10 min walk from the railway station under portico-ed sidewalks and 20 to 30 min. to the historic old town. Federica is a delightful and enthusiastic hostess and I got to meet the rest of the family too. I was very comfortable and felt well cared for. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our time in Torino! Federica is just the lovelies host, with a beautiful home. We were welcomed warmly, given a map and answers to our questions, and shown to a perfectly appointed room. Breakfast was out of this world - delicious and so well presented. Federica is just the right balance of friendly and helpful, without ever invading privacy or making you feel like you have to talk. The city is really wonderful. Il Gioiellino is in a charming old building, on a street of beautiful buildings with blocks and blocks of arcaded sidewalks. The whole city is like that - wonderful architecture everywhere you look. Plenty of little sidewalk cafes and gelateria, wonderful restaurants and museums, a very easy to navigate Metro. We stayed in many nice places while in Italy, but Il Gioiellino tops the list!

Not only is the bed and breakfast a gem, Federica is a diamond of a hostess. We loved to talk to her over breakfast about her wonderful city, its sights and the many opportunities to discover the beauty of the piazzas and palazzos. Federica is truly a daughter of the city, sophisticated, stylish and understated. We stayed in Gran Torino, a superbly finished, spotlessly clean and comfortable room. The location is in a really nice, safe and easily accessible neighbourhood and we enjoyed walking into the city by different routes. We have fallen in love with Turin and we can't wait to return again to Il Gioiellino

After a short walk from the Porta Susa train station we were welcomed by Frederica to their family run B&B. Being one who 'loves problems', Frederica immediately phoned the Italian car lease office for us and organised our car pick-up. We stayed four nights and Frederica was very generous with sightseeing suggestions and restaurant reservations, making our stay so much more enjoyable. Our room, Gran Torino, was very special. It was very spacious, a balcony to watch the world go by, a superb walk-in shower and excellent Wifi. Breakfast was excellent with quite a choice of foods and the extra little touches - Turin chocolates!! This is a classy and must-stay B&B when in Turin.

This B&B is in an old building (1888?) it's actually on the 1st and 3rd floors. The room we had was large airy, comfortable bed, big shower and a small fridge on the landing with water. Breakfast was typical for Italy, nice fresh pasties and all the usual's, juice, yogurt etc. The host, Federica was really friendly and pointed us to a local restaurant that was very good (we went back the next night). The apartment overlooks the metro, but we walked to the main railway station in abut 20 minutes and all the main attractions are around there or a little further. We arrived by train to at the Porta Susa (sp?) station which is about 10 mins away on foot.

I can strongly recommend this B&B. Rooms are very stylish and kept very clean. The breakfast is superb. The owners do their utmost to make you feel at home. They are also very helpful with reservations for taxis, restaurants etc.

Charming 1880 residential building. Immaculately and sensitively designed guest rooms. Lovely young family-run. Modern bathroom with well-designed walk in shower. Voce room overlooks a busy junction, but double/triple glazing works well to exclude the noise. And what a GREAT city to explore!
