Saint Martin's Bed and Breakfast

Sehr gute Lage: Geschäfte, Pubs und Restaurants sind fussläufig erreichbar. Die nahe Straße stört nicht und war nachts auch bei offenem Fenster nicht zu hören. Das Einzigartige dieser Unterkunft ist der herzliche Gastgeber Denis, der den Aufenthalt besonders macht.

Les chambres sont toutes mignonnes et confortables, le petit-déjeuner est délicieux, du café jusqu'aux pâtisseries maison, tout était super bon ! Notre hôte, Denis, est une personne très sympathique, agréable et attentionnée. Il nous a expliqué l'histoire de sa ville, c'était passionnant. La maison est très fleurie, c'est magnifique. Nous vous recommandons ce B&B !

Denis nous a accueilli d'une façon très chaleureuse. Il a pris du temps avec nous, sans pour autant être intrusif. Le logement est très propre, le petit déjeuner incroyable. La chambre est bien et la literie très confortable.

La salle de bain est partagée et un peu vieillotte.

The B&B was on the edge of town set back from a main road. Parking was off-road & secure. We had a lovely welcome, & were invited to have a drink & some fruit pie & ice-cream while we chatted with our host & were introduced to the dogs, cats, chickens, ducks etc. Although offered as a suite of 2 bedrooms, we opted to use just the one room, which our host appreciated. The bedroom was small, but comfortable with quality bedding & facilities, although somewhat warm overnight, even with the window open. The overall feeling of the property was a little old-fashioned. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

The bathroom was across the hallway, and in need of some refurbishment.

La casa, la stanza e il bagno sono molto puliti. La zona è tranquilla, il giardino è una meraviglia! La colazione buona e super abbondante, Denny pronto a soddisfare ogni tuo desiderio. E su Denny voglio dire altro: è stato uno degli host migliori di sempre, gentilissimo, super preparato (ci ha dato diversi consigli azzeccati). È stato un onore poter chiacchierare con una persona così buona e brava. Grazie mille!

Stanza un po' piccola, ma per qualche giorno va bene!

The most caring host waited for us, and treated us with tea and homemade cake on arrival. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, I had homemade soda bread and jams, as well as a full Irish breakfast. The gardens and flowers all around the house were beautiful! The location is peaceful and quiet, in the heart of a beautiful part of Ireland, perfect for exploring different sites and towns along the Wild Atlantic Way!

Our stay at St Martin’s was wonderful. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The beautiful gardens and lovely room were so relaxing. Denis was a wonderful host, making a reservation for us for dinner at a restaurant down the street and waking us there. The room was quiet and restful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Thank you Denis (and Izzy too) for a great stay!! Hope to see you again someday!!

We chose Bandon as we wanted to go to Cork, as part of our tour of Ireland, but didn't want to stay in the city. Bandon is a short distance by bus (30 minutes or so) which was ideal. Denis is a wonderful, friendly, engaging host and his care of us, his guests, cannot be faulted. I can fully understand why guests come back to stay at St. Martin's year after year. His advice on places to go (and avoid) was invaluable. I would highly recommend staying there, as a base for Cork and the beautiful surrounding area. And the bonus is you get to meet Denis and Izzy, his delightful Westie
