The accomodation with touch of tradition Batak house, very close to the nature, not pretentious, simple, clean with enough access for clean air get through, enough light.

Beautiful location overlooking peaceful fragment of Lake Toba. Far from other facilities.

The location and the staff

The view on the lake is nice.

We made a reservation for a room for four people only to find out there was not even a real bed in the room. It was literally a wooden plank with two matrasses that could only fit 2 people. When raising our concerns the owner just said it was the fault of booking.com for not describing the room correctly. Then it turned out that the shuttle service (30 min one way) cost over 35 euros to use outside of the pick up and drop pff on the first and last day. This was not made clear before making the reservation and there is no other way to get anywhere then by the boat offered by the owner. The above being just frustrating there were also several severe safety concerns, among others a electricity circuit that ran full of water making it a very dangerous place to stay. All in all I would never recommend this accommodation to anyone.

The view is breathtaking.

You cannot fault the place. Even the minor discomforts are forgotten as you take in the majesty of the view. Read the other reviews... they are all spot on. This place is very very special. If you're lucky, you'll experience a storm over Toba.

There's a few very minor things. It gets a lot of mosquitoes/nyamuk. A few mosquito repellent coils on each night around the eating area would be awesome.

Isolated. Noisy boat ride (pending hearing loss).
