Kingstown House

Cozy little chalet. Steven, our host was very friendly & funny. He was available to answer any questions we had. Gave great recommendations for dinner. Great for a quick stay & off again to our next destination.

No top sheet, which we found was common in Ireland, so bring your own if you need one. I'm sure if we asked he would have provided one.

Fabulous, quiet location, great private chalet accommodation. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed, self catering facilities as described. Very nice selection of cereals and cold breakfast items. Easy check in and excellent communication from hosts. Cute cat 🐈

Maybe the chalet would benefit from darker curtains over the main door to aid sleep. Otherwise no negatives to report.

The chalet/cabin at Kingstown House is like a little refuge/oasis in the middle of the Cashel countryside. It is a couple kms outside of the town of Cashel, but a nice walk (for me). The countryside around is very quaint, peaceful, and relaxing - it is a great place to recharge your batteries. The cabin was very well kitted out with seemingly everything you would need. There was some food provided for breakfast (or anytime you like!) the next day. Check out at 12 (though I did check out earlier). All in all, I had a very pleasant and relaxing stay and would definitely stay again.

Although the kitchen was very well stocked, there was no cooker/stove (just microwave), so maybe not ideal for guests wanting to stay over an extended period. The TV was very complicated and frustrating - I spent so much time trying to operate it and was on the verge of asking for help; most of the stations have no reception - really wish it was simpler. It would be nice to place net curtains (or similar) on the 'bedroom' window as it's nice to leave the curtains unpulled when it's not dark, but not ideal if the other chalet is occupied.

I stayed in the chalet for one night while travelling for work in the area, and I was really impressed. The rate was great value, and although I arrived quite late (after 9pm), it wasn’t a problem at all—Steven, the host, kindly came to greet me with his grandson. The chalet itself is just perfect: well laid out, spotlessly clean, and incredibly well equipped. It had everything I needed and more—a comfortable bed (I slept very well), great shower, TV, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, and even a continental breakfast as a bonus.

The chalet is located on the same land as the main house, which might not be for everyone, but for me it felt very safe and private. The hosts were lovely—friendly but not intrusive—which made the stay feel all the more welcoming.

The chalet was great. Really comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was a lovely touch as well. It’s also a lovely relaxing setting and our hosts were very friendly and couldn’t have been more accommodating.

Stayed here overnight and it was a perfect stopover. Very comfy bed and bedding, spacious and clean. Peaceful location.
