"Besonders und Reinlich"

Wir haben 3 wunderschöne Tage in diesem außergewöhnlichem Etablissement verbracht. Die Gastgeber sind freundlich, herzlich und sind immer zu einem Plausch bereit. Die Sauberkeit dieses B&B's fällt direkt auf, alles ist sauber, frisch und ordentlich. Ausstattung ist gut und praktisch. Kleine Küchenzeile , noch kleinerer Kühlschrank, alles vorhanden um sich Kaffee oder Tee zu machen. Parkplätze sind ebenfalls ausreichend vorhanden. Hunde Willkommen! Der Haushund ist freundlich und sehr gut erzogen. Alles in Allem war es ein echtes Erlebnis in einer alten Kirche zu übernachten. Kann und möchte diese Unterbringung an dieser Stelle weiterempfehlen!!!

Zu erwähnen ist vielleicht noch, zu der Kirche, zu dem Grundstück gehört ein uralter Friedhof. Blick aus dem Fenster zeigt Gräber und Gruften. Wir haben erst verdutzt geschaut, dann aber das ganze belächelt. Halloween muß dort der Wahnsinn sein :-)

The general atmosphere and the friendliness of the owners. If you like quaint little villages then Twisk is a must see.

Charming and spacious apartment in the top floor of a former church building lovingly restored by the owners Rene and Gerda. Beds were very comfortable and there was an excellent shower. Owner Rene was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We visited in February and it was warm and comfortable. The region is nice with some interesting towns. Medemblik (10 mins drive) is delightful and has a range of good restaurants. Enkhuizen is only 20 mins drive and is well worth visiting. It would also be possible to visit Amsterdam for the day as there is a good train service from Hoorn (25 mins drive). For the summer there is sailing in the Ijsselmeer within 10 mins, plenty of good local walking and cycling and fantastic beaches on the west coast within an hour's drive.
