Location, staff, service, themed rooms and nice view

The restaurant and room were amazing. The food top quality and staff absolutely lovely.

Leaving the place to go camping in Limberg.

It's a boat moored on the bank of the River Rhine (though this branch is known locally as the Waal) - what's not to like? You can have a beer and watch the shipping go by. Room was compact but had everything I needed and great nautically themed decor (even a bedside photo of Elizabeth Swann in full pirate costume). The associated restaurant is excellent with a very good chef - sadly the crème brûlée is sized for two - so I had the chocolate dessert - which took a while, I thought I had been forgotten BUT a work-of-art takes time! There is a second restaurant on the deck below the accommodation which, I understand, is staffed by young people with special needs - I'll have to try this next time.

Not a problem for me - with the historic river low level the vessel had settled into the mud - if you absolutely must sleep with your head well above your feet you may need to rearrange the bed. Also note that the key drop box (which you will need to find in the morning) is hidden behind the door you open to access the deck. The cabin walls are quite thin and I suspect my neighbour, who decided to play loud music at 4:30 in the morning, did not realize this. A firm knock on their cabin door rectified the situation.
