Altquhur Byre

Carolyn and Steve were super friendly, warm, and helpful hosts. They also made amazing homemade pizzas and a delightful full scottish breakfast for us. Lewis gave me a lovely tour of Altquhur Byre’s history! A really beautiful home with comfortable beds and very nice rooms. Car spots available in front of the house. Nice details like homemade soap. A short drive to nearby walks and nature. Definitely one of the nicest places I’ve stayed in on my trip so far!

Nothing, only wish I could’ve stayed longer!

This property is well presented & clean - we were only there for a short time - arriving late & leaving early after a light breakfast. Our hosts were pleasant.

We had difficulty finding this property - we were delayed on our journey & it was dark when we arrived - signage could be better & it’s quite a distance from the township.

Very welcoming hosts and charming location. Nice and quiet bedroom well equiped. A nice attention placed into details (shower gel from a local provider, ...)

Zeer vriendelijk ontvangst, schone mooie kamer. Vers gemaakte cakejes en goed ontbijt. Adviezen voor bezienswaardigheden en eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Indien er nog een keer in de buurt komen, boeken we zeker weer een paar nachten. De honden zeer vriendelijk en vrolijk, wilden graag aangehaald worden

Un lugar estupendo para descansar tras la primera etapa de la West Highlands Way, ya que la casa se encuentra a 1,5 km del pueblo de Drymen y permite acortarla un poco. El alojamiento ha sido recientemente restaurado con mucho gusto y está todo muy limpio, bonito y con mucho encanto. La habitación era amplia y muy acogedora con vistas al jardín y la cama king size era muy cómoda. La anfitriona Carolyne, fue muy simpática y atenta con nosotros y nos permitió alojarnos antes de la hora prevista de llegada aconsejándonos un sitio estupendo donde cenar en el pueblo dando un pequeño paseo. El desayuno estaba delicioso con café recién preparado, tostadas, porridge, zumo natural y mermelada caseras. Sin duda un lugar totalmente recomendable.
