"I will stay at The Shoes again because it was a joy to sleep there."

The full English breakfast was perfect. The staff were highly organised and worked seamlessly to provide excellent service. I recommend The Shoes for the timely management.

There really was nothing to criticise. It seemed a little cold at night. However, I'm from London, so not used to a cooler room. Everything was in order.

"Excellent stay in convenient location for exploring Durham"

Location was excellent for exploring Durham -it is half hour's walk to the city centre. Room was nice; bed was comfortable; breakfast was good; staff were friendly There is a Sainsbury's local a few doors away from the property

there was a slight smell in the bedroom I wasn't informed that there was parking available at the pub and only realised on the day I was leaving
