Summerspring Beachfront Accommodation

The space was great and we were able to get straight in within 30mins of booking accommodation. Jane was very helpful and lovely to talk to.

The accommodation needed an iron/board.

Private, peaceful lovely beach. Hosts were fantastic. Roomy clean comfortable accommodation. Excellent bed. Could have stayed for a lot longer. Spot on advise on things to see and do. Relaxing plus plus.

Nice location and nice surroundings. Clean and tidy. Interesting beach to walk on but difficult to swim from when the tide is out.

Soundproofing could have been better since we could hear upstairs guests.

Close to nature. Reasonably short driving distance to several interesting sights.

The accommodations were not very private, especially after guests moved into upstairs unit. Several things needed maintenance. The beach was a bit disappointing, it was mainly a bird sanctuary.

Lovely views of the bay and the host was attentive to small details.

To have access to the spa would have been a lovely surprise.

The host of the property was welcoming and hospitable. The property's main appeal is its secluded location, which is conveniently close to Takaka. It also has private access to a public beach that is nearly unoccupied due to its isolation, which we really enjoyed.

Unfortunately, one of the biggest disappointments was that there is no sink in the kitchenette area, and this information was not disclosed in the amenities list. As a result, we were forced to leave dirty dishes outside to be cleaned and returned. Furthermore, there was no guidebook in the room that could have explained this process, nor was there any information regarding the Wi-Fi password or the location of the fire extinguisher. When we arrived, we were the only couple and stayed in our booked Deluxe Double Room on the second floor. Nonetheless, the peace and tranquility we had enjoyed was changed by another group that arrived on the second evening and checked into the downstairs apartment. The noise quickly traveled through to our room, ruining the serene atmosphere. We always endeavor to provide an unbiased review, and we feel that the lack of a sink was a significant issue. Resolving this problem would undoubtedly enhance the quality of this facility. The photos need to change and the facilities need to be updated on the advertised room to reflect that there is not sink and it is a coffee plunger not a coffee maker.
