Casa 1885

The host is the nicest you can ever find. The house is beautiful and the vibe there is unbelievably cozy! Can't say enough how I like this place.

Authentic, absolutely beautiful, peaceful yet dramatic. Excellent host, food, views and atmosphere. Love the place. Highly recommended.

I wanted to visit the Dolomites and I chose Belluno, which is located in the foothills. Amanda's home is located in Bes (sounds like "beast" but you chop of the "t" at the end), which can be reached fairly easily from Belluno train station by Bus V (2 euros). The V Bus was very helpful for me to connect to the Dolomiti buses going up into Agordo, Alleghe, and Livinalongo. It is also convenient to connect with the train to get to Venice and other locations. In any case, Bes has some spectacular views up into the Dolomites and is a tranquil, semi-rural place just a stone's throw from central Belluno. I enjoyed walking around the village very much. Amanda is a super-kind host who likes to engage with her guests... and it was so interesting to speak with her! I enjoyed our conversations very much! She also makes a beautiful breakfast and introduced me to some flavors and treats I had never tried before. Bravo! The room was very comfortable, with a super modern bathroom and a balcony on which one could relax. Amanda has also curated a lot of older, perhaps antique furniture, and other items, so it is a bit like a museum... but one that is kept super-clean. Casa 1885 was a wonderful find. I enjoyed my stay there very much!

We've really enjoyed our stay at Casa 1885. It was very nice, clean, homey, with Armanda a great and caring host. We especially enjoyed the breakfast, with its variety and lovely cakes, a little different every day. Would love to stay here again!

The accommodation is located in a lovely house, facing the mountains. The breakfast is amazing, with home made Italian goods and the host is just the sweetest. It is accessible by bus and the views are definitely a plus. I have enjoyed my time so much there, I will definitely come back!

It’s really hard to name all advantages of this accommodation in a short review: beautiful house in tranquille countryside just outside of Belluno, cozy room, balcony which is not directly connected to the room, but is available for guests’ use, excellent breakfast made from domestic ingredients and a very kind and welcoming host. To cut a long story short this was a perfect stay and if I could give a grade of more than 10, I surely would.

We only wished we could have stayed longer here! Armanda prepared a spectacular breakfast for us and had everything we needed in our room. Everything was super clean and tidy with beautiful views of the mountains. We used Belluno as a stop over for our trip to the Dolomites and we would love to stay here again the next time we go back!
