Very clean and well serviced rooms as usual. The hosts are very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area regards eateries etc. Rooms have very comfortable beds and great en-suite services.

Das Haus liegt sehr schön in der Nähe des Hafens. Kurze Fahrzeit zum Hafen nach Islay. Frühstück wurde nach Wunsch zubereitet. Freundlicher Inhaber, der uns im Ort ein sehr gutes Restaurant empfohlen hat.

"Livelier than I expected, due to the visit of fairground rides and attractions in tourist season."

Convenient nearby spots to park for free, either directly opposite the property in one or two unofficial parking spaces on ground, or in carefully selected roadside spaces avoiding the bus turning circle. A short leisurely stroll to the shops, bars, restaurants etc along the road. The modern electric shower surpassed my expectations and the harbour view from the front bedroom is outstanding. Friendly hosts Andrew and Iain and their pet dogs (which are kept behind a dedicated room gate so they do not make passing hallway guests anxious).

The design of a traditional cottage with sloping upstairs ceilings led me to painfully crack my head once. I was more wary after that. Not the fault of the host whatsoever though - just a moment of forgetfulness on my part.
