Ardno House B & B

Close to Glencoe village, but quiet and peaceful.

The location was beautiful and close to areas we wanted to visit. Upon entry, there was a light, pleasant, welcoming scent that was not overwhelming. The bedroom was clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was plenty of counter space in the bathroom for personal items. The water pressure felt great in the shower. We enjoyed the view from the large window in the sitting room upstairs. We also enjoyed viewing rare animals and learning local facts about them and the area during breakfast. The hot breakfast was delicious and at a perfect temperature. The grape or cherry tomatoes were a nice touch - no other place we’ve been to has served it this way, and we actually prefer it the way Ardno House serves it! Last, but not least, the hosts were pleasant and hospitable, and we look forward to staying again in the future.

It did get slightly warm in the bedroom while sleeping at night, but we appreciated the note that was left with options to make adjustments (fan, light sheet in the drawer, window)

We were so impressed with this stay. The room well and truly exceeded our expectations. The hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and provided great suggestions regarding places to visit. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful location, gorgeous comfortable house with so many thoughtful and charming touches provided by the lovely hosts, Robert & Morag. Even providing a spray and cloth in case the windows of our train to Mallaig were steamed up! Delicious breakfast accompanied by watching red squirrel and an abundance of birds in the garden, we were even lucky enough to see a pine marten.

Robert und Morag sind mit vollem Herzen Gastgeber und man fühlt sich bei ihnen einfach wohl. Das zeigt sich in ausgezeichneten selbstgemachten Marmeladen, die zum Frühstück angeboten wurden oder auch ihr Angebot unsere nassen Schuhe und Jacken bei ihnen zu trocknen, wenn nötig. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und es gibt jeden Tag ein Special (bspw. Avocado-Toast mit Lachs). Unser Zimmer war sehr komfortabel und bestens ausgestattet mit tollem Blick auf Loch Linnhe. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen und empfehlen dieses B&B wärmstens.

Ardno es un b&b espectacular. Todo es de 10!!! La casa y su enclave, la habitacion (estuvimos 3 adultos en la Stewart of Appin) donde no faltaba nada. Espaciosa con todo tipo de detalles (las galletitas buenisimas), las camas muy comodas. El desayuno muy completo y con varias opciones (el pescado ahumado estaba delicioso) y lo mas importante, el trato de sus propietarios. Gracias por todo Robert y Morag!! Nos llevamos un buen recuerdo a Barcelona!!!

Our stay at Ardno B&B was truly wonderful. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and offer beautiful views that make waking up a joy. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with great attention to detail and quality. What really set this place apart, however, were the hosts – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they made us feel at home from the very first moment. It’s clear that Ardno B&B is run with love and care, and that personal touch makes all the difference. The location is also excellent: Ardno is a great starting point for visiting Glencoe Valley (just 10 minutes by car) or exploring neighbouring towns such as Fort William (30 minutes) and Oban (around 1 hour). We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
