GBDecent location, quiet side street with no traffic noise.
The standard double room was much more basic than expected, like a cell in a monastery. Sheets were old and not ironed, room was dirty, staff did not help with bags... the place felt simply 'old' not 'vintage'.
INBuilding, area, service of the staff. Hospitality. No mosquito menace. The building is located near the railway station and temple.

GBIt was an attractive old art deco style building down a track off the main road. Hot showers.
The staff were unhelpful. There was no breakfast. It as quite far from the temple centre. We had to go everywhere by auto rickshaw. Drivers found it hard to find and some refused to take us.

MYOur stay in the quadrupled rooms was good. Staff was very helpful
GBWe arrived late off a train and were greeted by Balaji who was extremely welcoming and helpful. We are a family with two children and before arrival communications with the Hotel were excellent. He gave us breakfast and couldn't have been kinder. Thank you Balaji we will come again if we return to Madurai.
