The Ibex Inn

Rust, landelijke omgeving, prima keuken, vriendelijk personeel, gezellige kamer met goed bed.

Niks. Het enige kritiekpunt is dat we volgens onze boeking een kingsize bed zouden krijgen, maar het was een queensize bed.

Die Unterkunft liegt abseits von allem Trubel in einem sehr kleinen idyllischem Dorf. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und gemütlich, alles sehr sauber. Im Inn konnte man sehr lecker essen und trinken. Alle waren sehr freundlich.

Das soll keine Kritik sein, aber ein kleiner Kühlschrank wäre als Ergänzung ganz gut.

The room was spacious and very comfortable with good facilities. The staff were all friendly, helpful and attentive. Lovely quiet village but near main roads for ease of access. We enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast. Thank you.

As usual the Evening Food and service was exceptional. It’s always friendly and very efficient. It’s not a big menu but what they do they do really well. Breakfast food was to a similar standard.

Waitress on morning service just seemed to be either ditzy or trying to do other things as well as serve breakfast. Hence cooked food was served but what happened to the cereals ! Oops. The room is a decent size, the mattress is incredibly soft which isn’t a pleasant experience on a very warm night. However it wasn’t very clean, the sink was dirty & broken / badly cracked, toilet roll holder hanging off the wall and shower was impossible to keep in position and the shower tray was dirty.

Wir hatten sehr viel Platz und es war sogar eine Küchenzeile vorhanden in unserer Unterkunft. Das Ibex Inn ist ruhig und idyllisch gelegen und man kann sehr gut abends im Restaurant essen gehen. Ausflüge zu verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut mit dem Auto innerhalb von 45min erreichbar: z.B. Steinkreis in Avebury oder Highclere Castle (Drehort von Downton Abbey)
