Dia Homestay

Stay was comfortable and felt homely atmosphere.

It’s a beautiful, traditional haveli style room with a comfortable bed and lots of natural light. Hot and powerful shower. Ravi is THE BEST and such a kind, friendly and helpful person.

The building is in a really dire state of repair. My main issue was that the ‘windows’ are not really windows meaning that there are lots of open gaps where it’s just air between you and the street. Presumably for ventilation purposes from years gone by, but nowadays this just means that sleeping in the room feels like you are sleeping in the street, noise level wise. There is no sound insulation and you can very clearly hear conversations of other guests, dogs barking outside, cars, horns, bikes etc and of course wedding music all throughout the day and night, 24/7. One of the windows literally fell apart on our first day when we tried to shut it (to get street noise levels down). We cut our stay short at Dia and went to a cheaper hotel with proper sound insulation and got a lot more for less. It is a shame because the building itself is very beautiful and full of character and charm, but it is not maintained. The sheets and pillows were also old and stained. The fridge and the ac made such a loud noise it wasn’t possible to use them.

The rooms were spacioius, boho elegant and it felt like a little haven away from the hustle and bustle.

Situated away from the busy hub of the market but close enough to walk. Room was spacious, well- designed for comfort and a great balcony for quiet time and contemplation.

Lovely place Worth the stay.
