"Super snorkeling at coral garden and offshore"

The owners were so great!! The food was the best I had in the Philippines, daily meals overlooking the sea.

Some may be put off by the bathroom situation. The good: bathroom was en suite. The bad: pretty rustic, the bathroom floor was always wet as the shower drain was not great. Overall, I'd stay again because the snorkeling was the best I saw in the Philippines. If you can rough it, then it's a great spot.

"A must-do stay when in the Bohol/Pamilacan area"

Shirleys Cottage was the perfect place to recharge and fully enjoy the Filipino nature and wildlife. It was relaxing, simple, and slow in the best way. We LOVED the food - fresh and cooked with love. They were extremely attentive and responsive when we had questions or needed help arranging boats to and from the island. We snorkelled multiple times everyday and saw some of the healthiest reefs and huge turtles. The photos are very accurate.

This experience and accommodation is exactly what you would expect. I would compare it “glamping”. Bring sunscreen and bug spray.

"Paradise"

THE LOCATION and THE FAMILY. The cute bamboo hut was basic, but clean and comfy. Shirley’s food was gorgeous. The snorkelling from right outside was amazing. Unfortunately my husband was sick and we forgot to check if we had painkillers. Shirley, Moises and Mae were SO kind and helpful giving us some painkillers and understanding when we had to leave a day early. We were so sad to leave and hope to return one day. Thank you so much ❤️

"Exceptional"

It is an unique and beautiful place - created with love by Shirley and her family. Direct access to the beach, an gorgeous garden. Shirley cooks an amazing food and prepared delicious vegetarian food for me. If felt so welcomed, seen and accept by Shirley's family. Life on the island is simple. Be open minded to explore the beauty of this hidden paradise.
