B&B Civico Cinque

I believe there are only two rooms here and my understanding is that they are similar. Our room was immaculate and the bathroom spotless. We also had a pleasant courtyard. It is obvious that the friendly owner takes pride in her establishment and puts every effort into ensuring that everything is up to standard. The breakfast was well presented and we particularly liked the fresh croissants. The location is also ideal being equidistant between the train station and Salerno's historic quarter. The seaside is also within easy walking distance. The B&B is located in the basement of a multi level building and is mostly unstaffed. With this in mind you will need to provide your arrival time so that someone can be there to check you in. If you have a cell 'phone and someone who can speak Italian with you this should not be a problem

This place just fits the bill, clean, all the amenities you need but above all the most fantastic hosts that you could wish for. From the seamless check in, to all the local area recommendations and travel advice this was the perfect stay. I can not state how highly I recommend this place and I will most definitely be staying again if ever in the area. In terms of Salerno as a base, we found this perfect for us to explore the local area and the Amalfi coast, Salerno has that local feel about it, yet was lively with people even late at night. We felt very comfortable here and above all very safe too.
