"Absolutely brilliant, proper northern charm and lovely people with great food and atmosphere!"

The host was so friendly and welcoming! Asked for our breakfast orders beforehand and so was ready as soon as we turned up in the morning! I had the steak and mushroom pie for dinner and my partner had a burger with what seemed like every meat possible, and they were both so delicious! I would return just for the pie and the company! Including the wee lord Nelson doggo. It's also very near a nice walk by the reservoir so a really lovely area to wander around. Only thing is to be prepared if you're walking from the train station as its a fair hill to hike up, but worth it for the views.

The pub was very nice the landlord Darren was very friendly and welcoming. As was his staff . And customer service was second to none .room was spot on plus the steak pie was the best I have ever had . Breakfast again spot on with good quality ingredients. Would highly recommend, the lord nelson . thankyou Darren and the team
