Brilliant place to stay. Loved it, spoke with the owner, lovely people. Will be coming back to stay here again. Great breakfast with fresh fruits.

The view was exceptional - we woke up to the most fabulous view of Mt. Agung and the rice fields below. The staff were exceptional - warm, friendly and wry helpful. Ayu, Ani, Komang and Rama - thank you for everything. Nothing was too much trouble. They are the loveliest people. Ani arranged for my husband to have a guitar during our stay - this was so good and we really appreciated it. Thank you. Ani cooks really good Indonesian food The need was comfortable. The room was rustic and quaint. Two good local warungs with the closest just to the hill (3minute walk) and it had a tardis of a supermarket below. Please ignore reviews saying there are no warungs or shops nearby. Whilst you aren’t in the middle of Sidemen, it’s fabulous and some people will complain about anything and everything!

This is not to criticise as we loved our few days at Gladak Di Ume and would encourage visitors to stay there, but we want to offer a realistic review. The photos present the property as being a little less rustic than it was, and the price is probably on the higher side for the standard - we gave started in almost brand new villas for the same price. Make check in less confusing. We didn’t know who was who and met staff randomly and wondered if they were actual staff or random people from the village! Having a booklet in the room to explain how things work and local places would be helpful. To improve just some small changes are needed: fix broken things like the kettle and the outdoor furniture; clean and seal behind the bed; Offer guests free water during their stay - not only two small bottles. These change will help you be even better than you already are!

The place is exactly like the pictures.. magical, peaceful, and truly paradise-like. The views and connection with nature are surreal. The staff was always kind, welcoming, and helpful during our stay. The food is simple but tasty and satisfying. There are, however, a few important things to consider before booking. If you are uncomfortable with insects, this may not be the ideal accommodation for you, since the only thing separating the indoor and outdoor areas are curtains, making the villa very open to nature. Another downside is the lack of complete privacy. The neighbors on the right side were able not only to see inside our villa, but also access parts of it, which made us feel that privacy and security could definitely be improved. On the left side of our villa there was a small house where something was being burned regularly, and the smoke would reach our villa. This happened around four times during our stay and was honestly very uncomfortable. The staff explained that it is something common from farmers near the property. (Photos of the smoke attached.) The hot water also lasted for a very short time, and we had to complain about it during our stay. We also woke up several times during the night because of the geckos making noise (although this is quite common in Bali). Despite these issues, we would still stay longer at this accommodation because it is genuinely stunning and unique. It is definitely a perfect retreat for people looking to disconnect and immerse themselves in nature and beautiful landscapes.

It is in an amazing spot with a beautiful view overlooking Mount Agung and rice paddies. The staff were very friendly and looked after us brilliantly.

One day before my reservation, I received a message from the property saying they would not be able to accommodate me as scheduled. They arranged another room for me about 20 minutes away for the first night, and I was only able to check in at the original property after that. The replacement room was very nice, but it was still inconvenient to pack and unpack twice instead of once. When I finally arrived, the hot water in my bathroom was not working. To their credit, the staff fixed it within a few hours. The property has two sections: the main room on the ground level by the pool, and a tree house nearby in the same yard. The main room feels more like a wooden shed, with only one window, so it is quite dark. It is also noisy in the morning because the road is fairly close and cars and scooters start passing early. The tree house looks nice and is good for taking a few photos, but it is not very practical to use for longer periods. There is no air conditioning, and if you open the windows for ventilation, it quickly fills with insects.

Wij waren erop voorbereid: de beestjes buiten en in het verblijf. Ben je daar niet op voorbereid en kun je daar niet tegen dan is dit geen plek voor jou. Bedenk ook, westerse toerist, dat Indonesie en dus ook Gladak di Uma andere standaarden hanteert. Verwacht geen hagelwit muskietennet of gloednieuw beddengoed. Het is schoon maar een vlekje hier of daar is niet uitgesloten.

Очень красивая вилла с собственным бассейном. Безумно услужливый, улыбчивый персонал. На виллу можно заказать ужин, завтрак, массаж, любые напитки.

Нужно учитывать, что стена отсутствует, и спать вы будете рядом с природой. Не пугайтесь гекконов, муравьев и ящериц, и все будет нормально. Балдахин защищает от всего.
