Gostamos de tudo… da simpatia com que fomos recebidos, a casa é linda, os quartos super confortáveis e extremamente limpos, o ambiente super acolhedor e de grande tranquilidade. O pequeno almoço é maravilhoso.

The most beautiful, comfortable and peaceful accommodation and setting. The rooms are spacious, cosy and very tastefully furnished. Maria is a very warm and welcoming host providing us with detailed information about ideal activities and destinations to make the most of our first stay in the Douro Valley. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented including home made items. We were very fortunate to also be offered a fantastic dinner made by Maria's Mum.

Set amidst lush green surroundings, this charming farmhouse offers a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. Nestled in the heart of nature, it’s the perfect place to unwind. The owner is incredibly kind and a wonderful host.

This fantastic stay lived up to the other reviews we saw before booking. Maria was such a welcoming and warm person (as was her lovely Mum) Nothing was to much for Maria. We have stayed all over Europe and this rates way up in our estimation. The produce put in front of us for breakfast was all grown locally and the eggs fromJacinta's Chooks were so tasty. Overall fantastic.

I truly enjoyed my stay at A Padaria. This place carries a certain magical tranquility. The location, surrounded by tall trees, the horses in the field, the vegetable garden… it all felt so peaceful and grounding. Maria was such a kind and warm host, radiating a sense of calm that made it impossible not to slow down and “rewind.” The breakfast was wonderfully prepared every morning, with fresh juice, a perfect cappuccino, eggs, bread, yogurt… just thinking about it makes my mouth water again! To make the most of your stay here, you’ll definitely need a car to explore the area. This region is especially suited for hikers and nature lovers. The nearby village has two lovely restaurants where I enjoyed delicious meals. Maria is always ready to answer your questions and help you plan activities. The rooms are beautifully and serenely decorated. My room had a cozy chair by the window, the perfect spot to read a book with the sun on my face and enjoy the immense peace and quiet. This is truly a place that helps you slow down. I can only recommend it wholeheartedly!
