Amaranto Bed and Breakfast

This lovely bnb is an example of unique architecture featuring some very authentic Mexican touches of tile work and thatch roof. The breakfast is amazing and the breakfast room is lovely and cool. Mila and Manuela are excellent hostesses. Ask Mila anything and she will send you links to beach clubs etc The location is quiet on the side street. We had three bungalows and the penthouse. The penthouse easily sleeps four and you could be here a week or more. The rooms are quiet and cool.

This B&B is a lovely property a few blocks inland (about a 5 minute walk to the water), but very close to restaurants and dive shops. We spent 6 nights in one of their spacious, vault-ceilinged air-conditioned bungalows, which had a bedroom (with refrigerator, microwave and tea kettle) and private bathroom (with a skylight in the shower). Despite it being called a B&B, breakfast is extra at Amaranto and must be ordered the night before. On the days we weren't diving. we had scrambled eggs, waffles, fruit, juice and coffee/tea one morning, and veggie-topped cheese quesadillas, fruit, juice and coffee/tea another. The staff was very helpful and communicative. We look forward to staying there again on our next visit to Cozumel.

There was nothing that we didn't like, though we wished the breakfast hours were earlier that 7:30am to 9:30am. They don't offer breakfast on Sundays, but they recommend a nearby restaurant instead (La Cozumeleña, which was also quite good).

Super spacious room. Really cute round bungalow. Huge bed. Plenty of storage space. Hot water.

In a perfect world there would have been a kettle, hey, were British and drink a lot of tea.

This b&b was a wonderful surprise in our trip. The house in itself is a beauty! Very original! It is very well located, walking distance from the center, the ferry, the bars and restaurants. The personnel are so friendly and helpful. Mila was very responding to all our questions and she helped us to book a great excursion. I definitely recommend it.
