Castle Mill Bed and Breakfast Dorking

Very good breakfast. Old mill set on a river. Pub nearby.. River walks. Beautiful garden with mill pond.

Second time we have stayed at Castle Mill. Welcome was warm and so friendly. Lovely and spacious room immaculate in every way. Great breakfast.

That we had to leave.

We got a warm welcome and helpful suggestions for adventures near Dorking, Visited Borde Hill Garden (day one) and RHS Wisley Garden (day two). Wonderful breakfasts. Good dinner at The Watermill Inn just up the path.

Nothing to dislike.

Wonderful hosts, could not have been any more friendly and welcoming. House was lovely. Excellent breakfast.

A delightfully and tastefully converted mill house, with some really thoughtful interior design features.

The lack of signage made the property hard to find on such a busy road. Fortunately, I had studied the location on Google Maps.

Ric and Peta went to every effort to make us comfortable during our stay, be it their clear instructions to finding the room, personalised breakfast orders, lovely morning chats and even a lift to where we needed to go on our final rainy morning. Minnie the dog is a delightful addition to the home. It's so peaceful to hear the water mill gently running in the background and you open the curtains each morning to the total wonderland views of the River Mole and Box Hill. The bed was extremely comfortable and the house so inviting and well cared for.

Everything was perfect

This is a unique and lovely house. There is a water mill inside the house! There are footpaths right there and if you are a Jane Austen fan, it is only a little over a mile walk to Box Hill, site of a pivotal scene in Emma. FYI you can also drive to Box Hill if walking is an issue. The owners are lovely people. I would recommend spending the extra for the full breakfast as it was very good
