Clean, big space

The Location is good as it's close to a lot of stuff.

The place was extremely dirty and unpleasant. The bed is uncomfortable, and the mattress is very dirty and heavily stained. The beddings were not only dirty but dusty and stained. It is the dirtiest place we've ever been. The bathroom was also very dirty and unpleasant. There is also no parking on sight, making emergency movements challenging, seeing it's on the steepest road and you have to walk a long distance to your car. The room is nice but needs deep cleaning. It is honestly unpleasant, sorry. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The room was fabulous, but the noise above with I'm sure was two boys resallling!!! I was woken around 12 and still a lot of noise upstairs. However the room was spacious and cosy .

Very clean and cozy inside the private room and bathroom, nice amenities. Good range of kitchenware and decent space for living/dining. Lots of brochures for things to do in the area etc. The view was nice at sunset looking across the mountains and hill.

There was no parking at the property, so we had to park at the bottom and walk up the hill. It was a shared living area with another guest, but I'm not sure if it was clear on the description. The noise of the upstairs was loud (kids running around), but quietened down before 9pm.

Unbeatable value, great room cleaning and maintenance, well facilitated shared area, and apparently it is a night on the steepest street in NZ so yeah go for it.

Due to the special location there is no guest carpark provided and you will most likely be parking at the bottom of the steepest street, unless you have specific medical conditions seems(do let host know, quite reasonable person). Be aware if you are confident with your driving skills and car condition so you don't add uncertainty to your trip because, again, it is really the steepest street in NZ.

No complaints comfy bed and nice bathroom. Would definitely return if in the area.

Being a quite fit 60 year old walking the hill after parking the car was not too bad for me. Some people may find this a challenge. Something to be fully aware of when you book as this really is the steepest street in the world with no street parking.
