Chubini Winery & Cabins

Wenn man sich in Georgiens Weinregion erholen möchte, ist das Weingut Chubini genau die richtige Wahl. Die gemütlichen Apartments haben kleine Terrassen zu einem wunderbaren Garten, der einen sofort zur Ruhe kommen lässt - nicht zuletzt auch dank des freundlichen Hundes und einer Handvoll verschmuster Katzen. Absolute Highlights waren zudem die Weinprobe (Qvevri Wein!) und das köstliche hausgemachte Abendessen. Beides kann man vor Ort unkompliziert zubuchen. Wir hoffen auf einen baldigen Export der feinen Weine nach Deutschland!

The property was beautiful, the room and facilities were excellent and very clean, and most of all the hospitality of the owners was one of the most memorable parts of the trip. Highly recommend the dinner, breakfast and wine tasting, everything was delicious and homemade.

Undergoing renovations while we were there, but to be expected as we were visiting in the off season. Other than that everything was perfect.

Le domaine est très beau et le concept des petites cabines dans la propriété est vraiment sympa. On sent qu’il y a du potentiel et peut-être que l’expérience sera meilleure une fois tous les travaux terminés. Le personnel était aimable. La propriétaire parle bien anglais et sa présentation de leur production du vin était très intéressante.

Malheureusement, pour le prix payé, nous avons trouvé le rapport qualité-prix décevant. La cabine dans laquelle nous avons séjourné n’était pas propre : odeur d’humidité, fenêtre sale, draps tachés, et surtout une douche avec beaucoup de moisissure sur les joints et les vitres. Nous n’avons même pas osé l’utiliser. Nous n’avons pas très bien dormi à cause d’un bruit régulier (probablement une pompe) qui se déclenchait régulièrement. Le domaine était également en travaux pendant notre séjour. Nous comprenons totalement qu’un établissement évolue, mais cela impactait clairement l’expérience : terrasse et cave en chantier, ouvriers qui passaient régulièrement pendant le dîner et le petit déjeuner… Dans ce contexte, un ajustement du prix aurait été apprécié. Le lieu a du charme, mais à ce stade nous ne recommanderions pas l’établissement au vu du tarif demandé et des prestations réellement disponibles.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this family run property. The dinner and wine were very good. Our little one loved playing with the other kids in the big garden.

Bathroom wasn’t clean and the main lamp wasn’t working, we have informed the host, but in the end the issues weren’t fixed.

In this property you feel like at home. Lika - the owner- care about every details from the beginning. She booked marshrutka from Tbilisi for us. The place has an amazing view for grapes and mountains. The cabins are comfortable and warm inside. We also ordered food and this grandma made it so delicious. And we always were with cats and Archi. They add this cozy atmosphere. We also ordered wine tour with tasting wine and Lika told us the story of winery. We are very happy to stay here and hope to come back in autumn.

The spot and the host kindness

The beds could be more comfortable, actually the pillows, and the mattress was pretty uncomfortable.
