Casa de Praia Guest House

Location to the Camino was good. The bed was very comfortable, access to restaurants and the market. Our room had a private bathroom, which was very important to us. I don’t think any of the other rooms did.

House ran out of hot water before we were able to take a shower. Our balcony door was falling off of its hinge so we could not use it. The road was very noisy with traffic. And to top it off, they charge 5 euros to use the washer. Walls are very thin so you will be able to hear your neighbor.

Our bathroom was huge and the bedroom a good size as we had the triple room (one double and a single bed). Everything was very clean and property seemed well maintained. The lady overseeing breakfast was particularly helpful.

There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room at all nor available for guests to use in the property; there was not even a bottle of water - although the host sold water, tea and coffee later in the day for those who wanted it. Labruge is very poorly serviced for visitors; one tiny shop seems to serve the entire community and there are only a handful of restaurants - one which was supposed to be on the front had disappeared completely as had the Pirate statue! Not somewhere we’d return to sadly.

Located a few yards off the Camino, it was easy to find and access.
