"Swanky B&B in great location"

9.0

Really convenient location close to Bristol airport, the Mendip Hills (Wookey Hole, etc.), and a great pub across the road (The New Inn), easy parking, very friendly and amusing host, enormous, clean and very comfortable family room with separate beds for the kids, lovely atmosphere posh decor, and a brilliant breakfast set-up (cooked breakfast a la carte and a breakfast bar with cereals and local jams, etc.). All good!

Price is high, but no complaints otherwise!

"Excellent location if needing accommodation before flying from Bristol Airport."

10.0

We stayed there one night on our way to Bristol airport, the location for the airport was perfect. The facilities were everything we needed. Access to a coffee machine was great and the breakfast was excellent, the cold food well presented and the cooked was cooked to order. Room was small but well appointed, we were concerned that road noise would keep us awake but the double, double glazing meant that it wasn't an issue. The New Inn across the road had an extensive menu and was great for an evening meal.

That we only spent one night there and couldn't make use of the walking maps provided at the property

"Beautiful 400 year old manor house"

10.0

An absolutely gorgeous 400 year old coach house, full of character. We had a very warm welcome from proprietor Graham, who is a font of knowledge regarding the local area. Our room was lovely, very clean, with a fridge and facilities for making hot drinks, with a range of teas coffees and biscuits provided. Downstairs there are reception rooms with books, games, dvds if required, along with unlimited hot drinks. The breakfast was superb, with continental breakfasts, cereals, full English breakfast fresh to order, with gluten free and vegetarian catered for. We had a fabulous few days away, cannot fault this premises. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends. Great value for money.

It was a great place to stay, no negative comments

"Best B&B I've stayed in; I'll be returning!"

10.0

Graham is lush! So friendly and great with communication before our stay, with taxi recommendations etc. Location is great for accessibility and the room was so quiet with great layout of 2 beds. Breakfast was excellent with great choices, fresh fruit, fresh bread etc. Homemade jams and marmalades there to use, and he sells them too, all made on site from his own fruits. Will definitely stay again, so pleased with my choice!

Nothing. It was perfect.

"Fabulous, great food, friendly!"

10.0

Fabulous stay. We had the family room - huge comfortable room, with two single beds and a double - more than large enough to accommodate two adults and two teenagers. Although the room itself is equipped with a kettle, biscuits and the usual tea/coffee plus a fridge, the lounge downstairs (comfy large armchairs) has a fab coffee machine and an entire array of different teas to help yourself to. And it's quiet and serene in the evening - very restful sleep. As for breakfast,....it was outstanding. Freshly cooked to order Full English plus help yourself to home baked bread (utterly delicious) and homemade jams (divine), with cereal, fresh milk, orange and apple juices. If you love the marmalade and jams, you can buy them to take home, which we did. Wonderful host too, with evident amazing baking and jam-making skills. The B&B is also within two minutes of two lovely pubs. We had dinner at probably the friendliest pub in the UK: the White Harte, an early 18th century pub with amazing ales, great food and the warmest welcome. We will be back!

Nothing at all.

"Wonderful property, host and food."

10.0

Beautifully restored historic property, providing quality accommodation throughout. Breakfast was tasty and well prepared. The homemade bread was wonderful! And the accompanying home made jams made for a tasty addition. Graham’s communication and notes were excellent. Very happy to recommend and very happy to stay here again. Take a little time to read the history of the property photo book-well worth your time!

Nothing.
