Nice place for this price. Room is small, but it's not a problem since I travelled alone. Bed, shower, toilet, fridge were okay, I didn't have any problems with that, but I stayed for 1 night only. View from the window is also good, you can see mountains around if it's not too foggy. Taroko is not far from there if you go by car, Hualian is close too.

Transportation is incovenient, so it can be a bit difficult to reach this hostel or to go to Taroko/Hualian from there. Also, there is nowhere to eat, just one 7/11 nearby. There are many mosquitos in the room, so better to prepare a mosquito repellent in advance.

"It was really nice stay."

It used to be a house and the amenities are well maintained. The owner personally received us. There is no breakfast provided however but 7-11 is just a few meters away. You need transport to be here as the area is not within city center. The ambiance of the place is quite peaceful and private. There is an elevator too and I love the rooms especially one with a glass-roof balcony where you can gaze up to the heavens at night.

It needs a car but we did hire one anyway from Taipei.

Nice stay, near Taroko gorge, not far from Hualien. Privacy was good as we had a room in the garden. Good airco and fridge in the room. The host was really helpful and friendly too!

Not much, there are quite a lot of mosquitos outside so make sure to bring mosquito repellent!

"Pleasant"

I stayed at the room with garden view. The aircon was so loud. Since I’m sensitive to the sound, it was really hard for me to sleep well there. :(
