It was a good breakfast with a variety of choices - cereals, crumpets, bread, yoghurt, fruit, jam/honey, Cornish heeva cake, tea/coffee.

Pristine comfortable room with beautiful view.

The host’s strong communications on rules made us a bit uneasy at first.

Quite,informal atmosphere, friendly staff.

The rooms were spotless and the bed linens and towels were of good quality. Refreshments tray was replenished daily.

Large clean room with en-suite - towels provided along with shampoo and shower gel. Car parking also provided.

Be really aware that the check-in time is pre 10pm - we arrived at 9:30 from London and received a missed call, voicemail and a really unfriendly welcome upon arrival - even though we arrived 30 mins before 'last check-in' - not the nicest start to a holiday to be met with such hostility! I would agree with all the other reviews regarding the comfort of the bed - there is a huge dip in the mattress which is extremely uncomfortable. There are lots of rules - e.g. no showers after 10pm even though the room is next to the main bathroom for the house and you can hear people going in and out all night. Also not allowed to bring any food/drink upstairs despite there being a kettle and biscuits in the room... The use of 'breakfast included' on booking.com doesn't reflect what you think will be provided - pastries are stale on the days they're left out to eat, otherwise it really is the basics. More generally, all of the doors in the rest of the house are constantly closed/no use of the garden owing to a strange and isolated feel which doesn't bode well for a pleasant environment for a holiday so didn't really feel like a 'homestay' as supposedly advertised.

Very nice host, room was excellent - it was clean and had everything you needed, very comfy bed, complimentary breakfast was great, relaxing stay over the 3 days, allocated parking right outside the front door, quiet and peaceful, 10 minute walk into town, good value for money, would certainly recommend/ stay again

Everything either met or exceeded our expectations

Lovely clean soft sheets, plenty of pillows & towels. Quiet. Parking. Toiletries but no branding in big bottles. Plenty of fresh fruit & cereal, natural yog would have been nice.

Treated like a child, shoes off, no food upstairs, no shower after 10pm, although there was a huge TV?! When I asked to take my breakfast cafetiere with the jar of ground coffee to my room I was told they dont usually allow it but I could if I was very careful !! even though there was instant coffee, chocolate, tea & milk already in the room?! Continental breakfast it was not...croissant on the 2nd morning looked squashed, hard & so possibly defrosted. Sign saying not to take any food from the breakfast table, as it was complimentary?! X2 pieces of sliced bread 1st morning. Bed had big lump in the middle.
