Achill View B&B

The view from outside the house.

The room was small. The shower didn't work properly, it was scorching hot and could not be set to a lower temperature. We could not shower because of this. The bed sheets were dirty. They also had little red dots which we now think were bedbugs or fleas. Sadly we only discovered this late in the evening and had nowhere else to go by that time. The next day we discovered little red bites on our bodies. We skipped breakfast, although we paid for it as we were disgusted and wanted to leave as soon as possible. The owner often replies to reviews that it's an old farm house and expectations have to be as such, but the rooms still have to be clean and functional. Needless to say, the price was also too high. We stayed at places that were much much better and at a lower price in our trip.

Maison située trop près d'une route à grande circulation. Salle de bain et chambre propres mais vieillissantes.

Accueil et gentillesse de la maitresse de maison. Petit déjeuner extra. Très bonne literie Chiens très bien acceptés

Chambre exigüe Salle d'eau avec un petit lavabo sans mitigeur eau chaude/eau froide (mais pas de problème avec la douche)

The bathroom was a little cramped.

ganz, ganz tolles Frühstück!!! die Inhaberin ist eine ganz tolle, liebenswerte Dame. die Unterkunft ist nicht groß, aber Gemeinschaftsraum und Frühstücksraum sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Krásné místo. I když hned u silnice, dostatečně tiché. Paní hostitelka velmi milá. Velmi dobrá snídaně.

Das B&B hat eine tolle Lage mit einem wunderbaren Blick auf Achill Island. Von hier aus sind viele Erkundungen in die Umgebung möglich. Unsere Gastgeberin Margaret ist eine bezaubernde ältere Lady, die ihre Gäste mit viel Herzlichkeit umsorgt. Die gesamte Familie war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich mit frischem Obst und leckeren Scones, die für einen späteren Lunch mitgenommen werden konnten. Extrawünsche wurden gern erfüllt. Ja, das Zimmer war sehr klein, hatte dafür einen fantastischen Blick auf das Wasser. Wir haben uns hier außerordentlich wohl gefühlt.

Es war doch ziemlich frisch im Zimmer, was auch die Heizdecke im Bett nicht komplett kompensieren konnte.
