Low stress, muy tranquilo. Helpful staff. Nice country setting. Beautiful grounds.

Lack of modern laundry facilities. A good distance from town. Hard to find. Maps on booking.com and Google maps were inaccurate.

"Authentic Ecuadorean stay in beautiful countryside with the friendliest host"

El Tio is a wonderful place to stay to enjoy rural Ecuador, easy bus into Otavalo and simple but very comfortable stay

Booking says hot showers but there aren’t - would still recommend regardless because after hiking in the sun - cold shower was bliss :)
