Jubels Homestay

The location; the amenities; the scrumptious breakfast (veg curry, hot puris, paratha), the attentive staff. I will definitely stay at Jubels should I return to Gauhati.

Would be nice to have a hot water kettle and tea/coffee bags in the room.

Good food and service. Great value for money. The place is basically three floors and each floor has similar setup of a common area and three rooms. If you are travelling with a group and taking three or more rooms then you can use the common area very well for gathering. Staff was very polite and food was very good as well.

Breakfast could have more options but was decent.

(5-7 August,2024)The only means of conversation is traveller's mobile for calling or go to reception room, if your phone is silent or switch they started knocking your door. At 11 pm, I did just one mistake locked the door(apart from bedroom door covering dining and sofa) and my phone is silent( in the same time a strange traveller came for check-in says by homestay staff ) during this I am sleeping and tired and can not pickup my Phone(due to silent), and got 28 missed call ,how I picked call when my phone silent and charging ,5 and 6 men including owner started knocking my bedroom door very loudly (darwaz kol ,kol darwaza....), I am very scared at that time, they treated me like a thief, at that night I can't sleep properly because of this distraction. My whole journey was not going well. I am request him that say traveller not to close their door before going bedroom, install telephone or bell for reminding. Hand shower is also not working.Very bad experience at all.

I liked the warm ans cordial nature of the host,cozy bed and comdortable room. The food was delicious and hospitality was awsome.
