Friendly team. Tasty breakfast (vegetarian option was very good), with plenty of choice. Comfortable bed..

Water was turned off in room, due to a leak. Some night time noise from road.

Most confortable pillows Ive ever encountered. Fantastic shower

Stairs to the second floor are quite narrow, but a handrail was due to be fitted which would make it easier

"Good choice not too far from town, reasonably close to key attractions/landmarks"

9.0

Breakfast was exceptional - except for the coffee (cafetiere, very watery, not to my taste). Room facilities very comfy, lots of hot water, very clean. Nice fluffy towels. Good lighting and space. 25min walk from train station; <16mins walk to Hereford Cathedral/Mappa Mundi, Tesco, city bus station, mall/shops, and bus stop for Hay-on-Wye. Around the corner from the Museum of Cider and big Sainsburys. Food options nearby including a pub - The Plough - and a fish bar. They've also clearly invested a lot lately in new paint and decor. Price was very fair though -- expect prices to rise in the near future!

*Excessive use of perfume/air fresheners everywhere, just too strong and all-pervasive. Personally I would advise against using these - not least because I understand that some people are even more sensitive than I to such smells. *Another thing is that the room was quite cold - not unusual in the UK, lots of British hotels/B&Bs are too cold for many people (people from warmer countries!) - but too cold for me. It could have made a 9 into a 10 if there had been a warm blanket or extra duvet of some sort in the drawers, for example.

I highly recommend The Olivers Guest House. The room and dining area were spotlessly clean and every convenience was supplied. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Cath was welcoming and the procedure for checking in and out was a breeze. Communication was excellent. The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay at The Olivers again. A+++++ Perfect!!!

Nothing.
