"Lovely retreat"

We had a spacious suite, huge comfortable bed with lovely bedding. Room looked out on the garden and pool with seats outside. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Thr continental breakfast is beautifully served and generous. Excellent bathroom and shower. Delightful location away from the road. Ideal stopping off place en route to the Coromandel peninsula.

"Exceptional"

Wendy and Gary kept us very well informed about road closures and any possible impact on our holiday of the recent Cyclone Gabrielle. Wendy's food is fabulous, and from the moment we arrived we were very well looked after. We used the bikes at the house to cycle the nearby trail through the Kauraki valley, and all Wendy's recommendations on where to eat were spot on.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Wendy and Gary are really welcoming and kind.They gave us tea and cake when we arrived and made sure were settled in after our long drive. The room was super comfy and spotless. What a bonus to have the use of the pool too! It was so nice to be with hosts who were friendly but not intrusive. The location for touring the area was just perfect. We wish we had stayed longer!

"Clean, comfortable, relaxing and welcoming stay."

Good size room with very comfortable bed. Everything was very clean. Shower room with separate W/C. Fresh water, milk and biscuits left in your room daily. Breakfast could be cooked or continental with a good choice, coffee, teas and juice offered. Beautiful garden area with swimming pool which was welcome after a day out exploring. Hosts Wendy and Gary very accommodating and great for a conversation. Really sad to have to move on, would definitely recommend to anyone. Great place to spend a few days.

No negatives at all.
