Henry's, 27 The Terrace

Trevlig personal och bra parkering mht läget i St Ives. Rummet och även frukosten var också utmärkt. Rimligt gångavstånd till de centrala delarna vid hamnen.

Very well kept and well run facility, super friendly and helpful staff, hearty breakfast, great location a few minutes walk into the heart of St Ives and a stone’s throw from the GWR station from which you might want to take the scenic train to St Erth.

We had room 7 facilities and comfort great . Down side the room was dark and you could not open the blinds as the access steps were directly outside.The steps from the car park are quite challenging so depending on mobility so ask for help.

There was a good choice for cooked breakfast and it was well presented. Had a table by the window with a lovely view.

We had to wait a while before the member of staff appeared in the breakfast room. They were dressed in an old crumpled t-shirt. This didn't seem 5*.. For continental breakfast there was little choice of cereals, yogurts, the only fruit was apples and an orange, no berries. Quite poor selection. When we arrive my husband asked about the wine on the room list. The member of staff said they would find the answer but never returned. There are no overnight staff, this doesn't seem like a 5* arrangement. We had one toilet roll, no spare. Bulb missing off the landing light fitting. The staff in other 5* hotels can't do enough for you, they want to ensure you are pleased with the service. I didn't get this impression. I wonder how they claim their 5* level.

Great location and room, lovely staff and an amazing breakfast.

We were impressed by the decor and excellent paintings. Our breakfast was very good and our room was comfortable and well kitted out. It was convenient to park and would be ideal if travelling by train.

27 The Terrace ist ein wirklich außerordentlich schönes, sehr stilvoll eingerichtetes Hotel in attraktiver Höhenlage von St. Ives. Wenn man sich auf den Weg ins Zentrum macht, hat man tolle Ausblicke auf das Meer und den Hafen. Auf unserer Rundreise durch Cornwall haben wir eine Nacht dort verbracht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, wir haben uns sofort zu Hause gefühlt. Ein Höhepunkt des Hauses ist der Frühstücksraum mit fantastischem Blick über die Bucht und einen der Badestrände des Ortes. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und sehr lecker.

Wo Licht ist, ist auch Schatten! Das Doppelbett in unserem Zimmer war recht schmal, was nicht zum Schlafkomfort beigetragen hat. Zudem waren wir in einem der Souterrain Zimmer untergebracht. Statt Ausblick über die Badebucht sahen wir nur die Türen, des vor dem Fenster geparkten Autos.
