A bit out on it's own, toilet noisy and hard to flush. Close to road but noise didnt bother us

The owner was friendly and obliging, beds were comfy (but the room was cramped) and the continental style breakfast was adequate. Plenty of free parking on the premises. We paid extra for an evening meal which was a little disappointing but having travelled a fair distance hunger made it more palatable! Generally the service and facilities were as to be expected for a budget hotel.

Minor gripes would be the general tardiness of the decor, which looks a bit neglected, and a banister on the stairs stops half-way up which for someone who has dificulty climbing stairs made it a bit troublesome. The biggest issue though was a barking dog at night! Having been badly bitten in the past, my wife has a fear of big dogs so when we were greeted on the stairs by a guest with a boisterous large dog she was immediately alarmed. It was made worse overnight though, when we were woken several times by it barking loudly at the slightest noise. Unfortunately this spoiled the stay and why my overall mark is low.

Book last minute. Very happy to accommodate. Clean and comfy bedroom. Good value. Host was very kind
