Hiriketiya White House

Nice, quiet place. Definitely worth it. A short walk from Hiri Beach.

A big spider and a big cockroach added some flavour to the clean rooms.

They lent us an umbrella when it was raining, so thank you for that. Nearby restaurant Grand and Glorius had some fab food (grilled chicken, kottu, curry).

Probably the only place we stayed at in Sri Lanka that I felt uncomfortable at. Found it strange that the staff helped my husband with his luggage twice. Whilst that's a nice gesture, I found it rather strange as a woman that they'd help a man with this luggage instead of a woman. When we arrived to the hotel, we told them that we just travelled in the car for 6 hours straight and really needed to use the bathroom, but the staff didn't seem to care, as once we checked in, they were pressuring us to tell them what time we wanted breakfast the next day, so we ended up not pre booking (and having) breakfast there at all. Whilst it was appreciated that they sorted laundry washing for us (for a fee), we wished we didn't go ahead as it still stank :/ The open bathroom was quite a shocker - should have read the reviews properly. No hot water. Quite a distance to the swimmable part of the beach.

We loved the location! In a quieter part of town yet not far to walk into the hustle and bustle! Breakfast was v good and tasty but would have welcomed a bottle of water with it! V friendly family. Was able to rent scooter snd surf board from them. Recommend!

Basic room in great location. Lovely staff!

We really loved our stay here. Great location in Hiriketiya and not far from the beach. Really nice room which was a good size and liked the bathroom being semi outdoors. The light in the room was good which makes a difference. Staff were incredible and very helpful during our stay making breakfasts and organising a scooter and taxi. Would recommend staying here.

Location was close to the beach. For the price of the room, very reasonable
