We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is beautifully presented, the view is exceptional and Joan & John were hospitable but also respected our privacy. We also enjoyed the provided breakfast each morning.

We should have stayed longer!! But plan to return.

The breakfast choices supplied were superb. We were spoiled with fresh fruit salad, fruit juice, yogurt, 3 different cereals, toast, home made jams, and a couple if eggs to cook any way we wanted. The table was already laid for us - it was a real work of art. Oh, and you can’t downplay the importance of the wonderful view of the sea and its ever changing moods.

Wonderful location for using as a base to explore the Catlins. This is a very special place - beautifully decorated, amazing view across the sea, everything you could possibly need to have a marvellous break. Joan and John are excellent hosts, friendly yet unobtrusive, warm and helpful. An excellent and very generous breakfast, private deck and entrance, comfortable bed , spacious lounge. Perfect in every way!

We loved our stay here at Joan and John’s home. They are such a lovely couple and Joan has created a beautiful B&B space which couldn’t have been better. Lots of thoughtful touches, a stunning view straight out to the sea across Joan’s lovely garden and an absolutely perfect setting for breakfast. Plus amazing sunrises you can watch from your bed. And the Catlins are amazing!!!

Beautifull view of the pounding surf. Private entrance from the street. Great hosts who supplied home made apricot jam and Christmas cake.
