Oliver's Bed and Breakfast

The breakfast was amazing and quite filling and beautifully presented. The place is beautiful and very clean and the staff is amazing, friendly and helpful.

1. Friendly staff & management, 2. Breakfast, 3. Close to restaurants & beach/wildlife, 4. Cleanliness, 5. Safe Environment & 6. Child friendly.

1. Noise made by other occupants at night (suggest nuisance control measures), 2. Very small garbage bins (suggest average sized garbage bins).

Easy to find, rooms are spacious

The flooring and walls In the room are woody, so you can hear everything happening around the BnB even other guests walking or talking etc. this made it uncomfortable to fall asleep

The place was clean; even though we were late (8PM), we got the necessary support to allow us to check in. The number of the establishment is answered promptly. Due to load shedding, we could only get it via WhatsApp call. The place even had sufficient power provision though load shedding. The staff is friendly and goes out of its way to assist when requested, e.g., with ironing of clothes.

The gate intercom is not linked to the secondary power to allow it to work during load shedding.

Family room was spacious

When we arrived on Friday afternoon at Olivers Bed and Breakfast we were asked around which time we would like to have breakfast the next day. We said: around 9am. The next morning we walked to the breakfast room around 9.20 am only to hear that there is no more breakfast after 9am. Not even a cup of tea was offered to us. Nobody had told us during our check in on the day before (where the credit card machine did not work and we had to pay the price for our stay in cash) that breakfast ends on 9am on a Saturday morning. Honestly: Is there any b&b int this world where breakfast ends on a Saturday at 9am? In a quite unfriendly way we were told then that we can look for a cafe or restaurant in town if we want to have breakfast. Important to mention that breakfast was included in the room rate that we had paid cash the day before. A very disappointing experience when you have to leave a b&b hungry.
