The Green Edge

Rustige locatie, net buiten het centrum van Dambulla. Het is een oase van rust. Mooie tuin, hele nette en schone kamers. Je kunt overal makkelijk op blote voeten lopen, het is heel schoon. Het diner vonden wij wat smaakloos, helemaal als je weet hoe smaakvol en pittig de curry’s overal zijn. Het ontbijt is prima maar wel elke dag hetzelfde. Zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk, bijna onderdanig. Daar voelen wij ons niet prettig bij. Ook lopen ze heel veel langs je tafel of staan aan je tafel om te kijken of alles goed is. Dat voelde een beetje bedrukkend. Heel goed bedoeld maar dat mag wel iets minder.

The Green Edge è stata una bellissima scoperta, un angolo di Giappone in Sri Lanka! Dall'arredamento ai prodotti da bagno, al caffè, alle campane, il bambu', è stata un'esperienza favolosa. E poi la loro gentilezza, la disponibilità, tutto perfetto. Ci sono 3 camere matrimoniali, per cui il silenzio è assicurato. La notte l'unica cosa che si sente sono il fruscio del bambù e qualche uccello notturno. I letti grandi e comodi, il bagno enorme e ben fornito. Ci sono il bollitore per caffè e tè e relativi prodotti. Abbiamo cenato presso la struttura tutte e due le sere che siamo stati, cucina buonissima e curata, così come la colazione (uova, frutta fresca, pane e marmellata). Che dire? Se mai torneremo in Sri Lanka soggiorneremo ancora qui, un sogno. Grazie di tutto!

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special – so warm, kind, and truly caring. The place is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and feels like a home away from home.

Everything was just perfect! Staff: The staff members were truly wonderful: kind, helpful, and thoughtful at every step. They made me feel welcome and well taken care of throughout my stay. Cleanliness: Top hygiene! The entire room was spotless: from the walls and floors to the cupboards, bed, bathroom, and toilet. Everything looked freshly cleaned and well-maintained. Comfort: There was running hot water at all times, and the air conditioning kept the room comfortably cool, even during the hotter parts of the day. Safety & Atmosphere: As a solo traveler, I felt safe and at home here. The warm environment and respectful staff really made a difference. Overall: An excellent experience. Clean, comfortable, and supported by genuinely kind staff. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

La atención del personal y lo acogedor del lugar hizo extender mi estadía de una noche a cuatro. Después de alquilar un coche con una pésima experiencia, Isuru y su primo brindaron una acogida y comida que supera toda expectativa. El exquisito jardin y el orden puntilloso del establecimiento fueron una experiencia inolvidable

A hidden and magical place. We stayed there for one night and everything was perfect. Friendly staff and super attentive, clean room, spotless big bed and they cooked us a delicious dinner, which we enjoyed in a peacefull garden. You can listen to the many sounds of birds in the morning. Really a comfortable place to relax and sleep in peace.

Tout!! Le personnel était au petit soin, très prévenant et à l’écoute. Nous avons été accueilli par des singes et un écureuil géant… mais ils sont partis par la suite.
