The Old School B&B

I immediately felt welcome at the Old Skool bnb. The room was spacious, bed was very comfy. I went for a sunny walk along very quiet country lanes and visited the local castle ruins, which was just what I needed after a long drive. They offered both decaf tea & coffee, which was great.

Converted school in a rural setting. Friendly host. Comfortable, quiet room to the rear of the building with a king size bed and views of farmland and the ruins of Morton Corbet castle. Coffee and tea making facilities. Excellent breakfast included in a realistic price.

A little remote if an evening meal is required, the Fox and Hounds in Shawbury is a ten minute drive and a little restrictive if you want to have a beer / wine. Huge pothole in entrance from the main road ~ could burst a tyre or damage your suspension particularly after dark when unable to see it ! Awkward access to the room via the owners private areas, or a spiral staircase. Numerous cobwebs in the room. Landlady absent.

The bed was clean and comfortable

overall cleanliness was disappointing. It was cluttered and many cobwebs.

I loved Everything at this place. It was like staying at my grandma, yet the room was better than some of the 4 star hotels I've been yo around the world. The food was excellent as well and the host, Kim and Tina could not be any more nicer and giving better service. Definitely will be coming back next year.

Hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The school is in a lovely location made all the more pleasant to watching the lambs playing in the field on waking up. I will definitely be staying again.
